When suppliers or people today fall prey to unfair competitors, irate ex-employees or disgruntled shoppers, then a SERM becomes critical from the financial survival of a home business.

Firms like SERMs are critical in preserving, and in some cases salvaging and restoring vendors or person's popularity and excellent identify.

On the net searches are one in the initially factors that fashionable day consumes do prior to spending money which has a company or particular person, and a single unhealthy click can mean economic disaster for any organization, certainly within this ever developing cyber financial system. Reputation for these SERMs are boosting by leaps and bounds using the realization it is not prudent to attempt to conduct organization in this cyber age and not possess a SERM on retainer as well as your accountant and your attorney.

This tends to be an incredibly sturdy selling position for businesses also as people, to know that they're cleansing and defending their reputations and cyber pictures, though concurrently running a really beneficial promoting initiative. Frequently suppliers fully disregard their former marketing efforts web based and select the advantages of On the net Popularity Management.

Kids Making Money

The Mogambo Stupidity Prize (MSP) is a not-so-rare honor bestowed to highlight the laughable kind of stupidity about inflation that is so prevalent these days that I find myself screaming at the radio, the newspaper and the TV, wildly ranting, arms akimbo like some kind of demented old man, about how inflation is the Worst Thing That Can Happen (WTTCH), working myself into a fit of uncontrolled anger that goes beyond “outrage” and into some dark, dangerous place in my heart where enemies, both real and imagined, are rounded up and thrown into a hellish prison, and I reign victorious in abolishing the Federal Reserve, reinstalling the gold standard for the US dollar, thus abolishing inflation forever and becoming a national hero whose courageous victory will live forever in the hearts of the people and in the history of the United States and the world, which quickly realized the beauty and simplicity of the gold standard in delivering stable prices and higher standards of living for everyone, instead of the grinding misery and suffering of inflation under a standard of expanding a fiat currency.
Thus, I will be loved and revered by everyone, except possibly my kids, who will probably still be insisting that they will hate me forever unless I let them go to Disney World with a guy they know as Dave, and his girlfriend, Krystal, who is a professional-pole dancer.
Naturally, I replied, “Disney World? Pole dancer? Sure! But only if I can come, too!”
They rudely said, “No” and made disgusting gagging noises. So I, indignantly, said, “No!”, too, but with an exclamation point to show them I was serious and my feelings were hurt. Ergo, the aforementioned “hate unto death” pour moi.
But that is not important, if a cataclysm of inflationary horror that will destroy the USA is not important, because we were originally talking about the Mogambo Stupidity Prize (MSP), but somehow veered off into another of my rambling harangues about the Federal Reserve destroying the purchasing power of the dollar with their relentless, ruinous, catastrophic over-creation of money, which seems important to me in that “You are soon going to be killed. Do you want to know why?” way, which seems to satisfy a basic human hunger, as evidenced by a lot of movies showing a guy dying of a gunshot wound, and he says to his killer, “Before I die, I want to know your name!”, which is pointless because he will be brain-dead in a few minutes and he will forget whatever name he hears. Moron.
Abruptly, I now veer BACK to the subject, which is to announce that The Financial Times is this week’s winner of the MSP in recognition of their winning entry in a January 8 editorial where they wrote, “Higher prices are not something to be scared of. Indeed, they are a necessary precondition to make supply catch up with demand.” Hahaha!
Higher prices are not something to be scared of? Hahaha!
You know that this is stupid AND funny because of the way I laughed “hahaha!” each time I wrote it, which was, at last count, two!
Well, as you knew I would, I have some Hot Mogambo News (HMN) for these Financial Times weenies: Higher prices ARE something to be “scared of” because it is exactly tantamount to saying, “Getting a bad, debilitating disease is not something to be scared of. Instead, it is a precondition to making advances in medicine catch up with demand.” Hahaha!
I wonder how these Financial Times morons would like to suffer from disease until production of curative medicine increases in response to the demand for cures, in the meantime suffering more and more, and then more and more suffering every month, suffering and suffering until, hopefully one day, the supply of medicine catches up with demand, and their disease is cured, although they will suffer a permanent decrease in health from the damage done.
They surely must like it as much as they like inflation, paying higher and higher prices for food until production of food increases in response to the shortage causing the higher prices, paying higher prices, and then more higher prices, and then more and more, every month, higher and higher, and then the prices of everything else go up in price, too, higher and higher, month after month, businesses being pressured to raise the “wage” part of that important land, capital and labor triumvirate, as are sellers of land and credit, even though your income will surely not increase along with prices, meaning that you will have spent so much money on subsistence rather than investment that you will have suffered a permanent decrease in financial health from the damage done.
As for me, I choose not to suffer inflation at all, and merely buy gold, silver and oil, which is so easy that I cannot help but exclaim in a giggly kind of rapturous glee, “Whee! This investing stuff is easy!”
The Mogambo Guru

Inflation and the Damage Done originally appeared in the Daily Reckoning. The Daily Reckoning, offers a uniquely refreshing, perspective on the global economy, investing, gold, stocks and today's markets. Its been called "the most entertaining read of the day."

OFF TOPIC ALERT:

I haven’t seen MM cover this yet and it needs to be known!!! Please forgive me if she has already covered this and I just missed it!! The “Together We Thrive” T-shirts that starred at Wednesday’s Arizona `Memorial’ originated from Organizing for America a sad fact unearthed by The Drumbeat of Liberty and the Preservation of Freedom editor and Canada Free Press (CFP) columnist Robert Rohlfing.

In the controversy of the pep rally/rock concert style Memorial for those who lost their lives in Saturday’s Arizona tragedy, the mainstream media reported that the “Together We Thrive: Tucson & America” T-shirt given to mourners as they entered McKate Center was the idea of University of Arizona brass, not the Obama administration.

Yet the “Together We Thrive” slogan dates back to a post to Obama’s own Organizing for America in a Feb. 11, 2008 post by self-described “globalist” John Berry IV.

More than passing strange that the Obama campaign message of civility was the same on Feb. 11, 2008 as it was in his Wednesday Memorial speech, and the same one, too carried by the mainstream media in coverage of the Memorial.

“For too long Americans have been set one against the other. It is a side affect of a free market society,” Berry IV posted. “How can profits be maximized, how can I get the work down for the lowest possible costs. This continually sets one group against the other, especially in the blue collar sectors of America. It has become part of the American Business model, whether it was indentured servants, slaves picking cotton, sharecroppers, the industrious people that built the railroads or today’s migrant workers. As long as we remain divided, fighting for the scraps that America has to offer it will be one group against the other.

“What I see in Obama is a chance for revolution. (Italics CFP’s). A chance for every group to be heard; A chance to live the American dream that has been denied to so many…

“In a previous career, I was the global leader of Diversity for a global fortune 500 corporation. I have studied the affects of diverse groups working together and the results can not be denied. Together we Thrive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

University of Arizona brass did not originate the “Together We Thrive” T-shirt. They merely recycled it for Obama—and recycled it in time for what should have been a dignified Memorial for the dead.

If you were a mourner who took home a “Together We Thrive” T-shirt have a look at the bottom of your shirt. “Rocking America and Rocking the Vote” is a common theme of the DNC, and it’s right there on your Memorial T-shirt memento.Welcome to the era of Obama, where cheering and standing ovations, for the first time in history, became part of the Requiem for the Dead.

Making Money Scams

In an interview, a former credit card thief talks about some of the scams he used to run on unwary consumers. It's got some good takeaways for protecting yourself, like the one where you make up fake answers to security questions. With all the info that can be found online now some of these security questions aren't that hard to figure out. So instead of putting down the real answer to "What's your mother's maiden name?" put down "unicorn princess."

Secrets of a Former Credit Card Thief [Yahoo] (Thanks to Newdreams!)

We’ve all done it. We’ve all believed, if only for a second, that we could become rich without work.  That we could build a business that runs on auto-pilot. That we could live on a beach in Maui while the checks come rolling in. You know what I’m talking about: “Living the dream.” The ultimate goal of success without work.

Unfortunately, we all know that’s not reality. As small business owners, we work day and night to reach that dream for ourselves. And we know, through experience, that there’s no “easy button” we can push to achieve it.

But isn’t it frustrating to watch as others continue to succeed by selling the dream that we know isn’t possible?

You know who I’m talking about. Those guru-type slimy marketing promotions that tell you things like, “Make $14,023 a month at home in your underwear with no effort!” or “Making money by pushing buttons has never been easier with this revolutionary system!”

We all know those systems don’t really deliver on their promises. The only people getting rich are the gurus selling those scams. But the truth is that the reason they continue to offer these scams the way they do is because it works. Humans like to buy the dream.

Take a deep breath. I know, it’s frustrating. Because that’s not you and me. We don’t make promises of overnight success. We run real businesses where we try to solve real problems for our customers.

But there’s an opportunity to learn something here and use it to our advantage. If you look at why people buy, it’s usually for a different reason than you think it is. For example, people don’t buy a fancy diamond engagement ring because of how it looks. They buy it because of how it’s going to make their lives better and how it’s going to make the other person feel. They’re buying “forever!”, not diamonds.

In another example, people don’t buy Nike products because they’re any higher quality than Converse or New Balance or 100 other brands. They buy Nike because Nike sells “winning.” They’re buying the dream. They want to be labeled winners.

So next time you see a guru trying to sell something you know is full of false promises, don’t get angry. Instead, use it as a lesson to think about what you sell, and more importantly, what and why people buy from you. Then use that lesson to improve your marketing message for more sales, leads and publicity.

People Making Money Online

Alistair Croll is the co-chair of O’Reilly’s Strata conference, which tackles the convergence of Big Data, ubiquitous computing, and new interfaces. The next Strata event happens in Santa Clara, CA from February 1 to 3.

Karl Marx said that the industrial revolution polarized the world into two groups: those who own the means of production and those who work on them.

Today’s means of production aren’t greasy cogs and steam-spewing engines, but that doesn’t mean they don’t divide us. Industrial data is all around us, and search engines, governments, financial markets, social networks and law enforcement agencies rely on it.

We willingly embrace this “Big Data” world. We share, friend, check in and retweet our every move. We swipe loyalty cards and enter frequent flyer numbers. We leave a growing, and apparently innocent trail of digital breadcrumbs in our wake.

But as we use the Internet for “free,” we have to remember that if we’re not paying for something, we’re not the customer. We are in fact the product being sold — or, more specifically, our data is.

So here’s a tricky question: Who owns all that data?

Why Data Ownership Is Hard

The fundamental problem with data ownership is that bits don’t behave like atoms. For most of human history, our laws have focused on physical assets that couldn’t be duplicated. The old truism “possession is nine-tenths of the law” doesn’t apply in a world where making a million copies, each as good as the original, is nearly effortless.

It’s not just the ability to copy that makes data different, however. How data is used affects its value. If I share a movie with someone, the copyright holder loses a potential sale. On the other hand, they may make money: freely sharing Monty Python videos online increased DVD sales by 23,000%. Some kinds of information were meant to be shared. If I give my phone number to someone, surely it’s gained value. But if it’s written on a bathroom wall, presumably it’s lost some.

It is hard to get data control right, too. In 2009, Burning Man required that Burners give organizers control of any of their images that were shared by a third party. The well-meaning effort to protect unwanted distribution sparked a vigorous debate about what electronic freedom really means. More recently, WikiLeaks has forced us to ask: Do thousands of leaked cables belong to the government, U.S. citizens, WikiLeaks or the newspapers that published them?

Old Laws, New Problems

These questions of data ownership are all nuanced issues, quick to anger and hard to resolve. We’re struggling to cope with them, both legislatively and culturally.

In a number of recent cases, outdated laws are being repurposed and abused, alternately defending and restricting freedom. We’re using ancient wiretapping laws to imprison people who record law enforcement officials. At the same time that reading a spouse’s e-mail is a criminal offense, Google search history is now an admissible form of evidence. And the U.S. attorney general has just subpoenaed the private Twitter messages of a foreign citizen.

Big Data Makes Its Own Gravy

But if data law is confusing, Big Data makes it downright Byzantine. That’s because the act of collecting and analyzing massive amounts of public and private data actually generates more data, which is often as useful as the original information — and belongs to whomever performed the analysis. Put another way: Big Data makes its own gravy.

In August 2006, America Online published a dataset of search results, hoping to provide raw material to researchers. The data had been anonymized, so that each searcher’s identity was just a number. Five days later, The New York Times had tracked down one of those searchers by linking her search history to other public data, such as the phone book.

At big data companies, this kind of thing happens constantly; the companies just aren’t ignorant enough to do it in public. Since 2006, our willingness to share data has risen dramatically. So has companies’ ability to mine it for new insights, and not always in ways we’d approve of. Consider the Netflix Prize, awarded for figuring out how to use our film preferences to suggest other movies. That kind of power could also be used for an “Insurance Challenge” that turns our online behavior into actuarial tables that dictate premiums and deny some of us coverage.

The Rise of the Data Marketplace

For decades, lawyers and traders have relied on companies like Thomson Reuters for the latest stock and legal news. Now startups like Gnip, Infochimps, Windows Azure DataMarket, Factual, and Datamarketplace (acquired by Infochimps) are making data easier to acquire and massage. These data marketplaces seldom create new data; rather, they clean it up, ensuring it’s current, and connecting buyers and suppliers. Their value comes not from the data, but from making it usable and accessible.

These data marketplaces can teach us an important lesson about data ownership. Ultimately, the question of who owns information is a red herring.

It’s Not Really About Who Owns the Data/>

Thirty years ago, Stewart Brand observed that, “On the one hand information wants to be expensive, because it’s so valuable. The right information in the right place just changes your life. On the other hand, information wants to be free, because the cost of getting it out is getting lower and lower all the time.”

Data will leak out, as it always does, despite the best efforts of hardware companies. It’ll be around forever, even if we try to impose a statute of limitations on it. And we’ll find new ways analyze it, making still more data. Yesterday’s online chaff may be the cornerstone of tomorrow’s new startup.

The important question isn’t who owns the data. Ultimately, we all do. A better question is, who owns the means of analysis? Because that’s how, as Brand suggests, you get the right information in the right place. The digital divide isn’t about who owns data — it’s about who can put that data to work.

I’ve often wondered if the early Web pioneers had it all to do over again if Web companies would have put less of an emphasis on free.

People have been conditioned against paying for services or content on the Web, and the Web elite only have each other to blame. For all the talk of Web companies getting users first and “figuring out” how to make money later, the only two jaw-droppingly, multi-billion-dollar, innovative new ways to advertise online have been Google’s paid search ads and Groupon’s solution to unlocking local ad dollars on a mass scale. Those who win big–like Google– just perpetuate the cult of free content and services as a way of spoiling would be competitors. Witness a big disconnect between popularity and money. Exhibit A: Yahoo.

As a result, Netflix and Match.com are two of the only companies to have figured out ways to build large, lucrative subscription businesses online. Meanwhile, LinkedIn is one of the only Web 2.0 companies that has created a huge business with a freemium business model.

But on the mobile Web it’s a do-over, and it’s a totally different playbook from FREE! People are conditioned to pay for stuff over phones in a way they aren’t online, and they’re not flinching. According to Citibank’s US Internet Stock 2011 Playbook released today, Apple will generated as much as $2 billion in gross app revenue in 2011. For perspective, that’s about the same size as Citibank’s estimate for the entire online video advertising market next year, nevermind way more people watch YouTube than have an iPhone and it’s been in the cultural zeitgeist longer.

The report also cites Gartner’s estimates that the total app market was around $4 billion in 2010 and should grow to a whopping $27 billion by 2013. The biggest driver is smart phone penetration, the impact of which Citibank compares to the spread of broadband on the computer-based Internet in the early 2000s. Globally, smart phone unit sales grew 53% in 2010, and Citibank expects it to grow 29% in 2011 and stay in the mid-20% growth range through 2013.

Several years ago, it was controversial to say that a fledgling product called Android — not the hyped up purchase of YouTube– would be Google’s best bet at another hit on the scale of paid search. Android is already making $1 billion in revenues with an indirect monetization strategy, and Citibank expects that could double next year– not only eclipsing YouTube but the entire online video category. Now calling Android Google’s future is almost a cliche. Good thing Google hedged its bets.

Fox News personality and former Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-AR) recently began appearing in television commercials calling for viewers to dial a 1-800 number to sign a repeal petition against health reform called “Repeal It Now.” The ad, a “project of Restore America’s Voice” (RAV), a political action committee run by Huckabee’s friend Ken Hoagland, also directs viewers to a website that solicits donations [...]

According to disclosures filed with the FEC, RAV’s campaign is managed by a firm called the 949 Media Group. 949 has been paid tens of thousands of dollars to set up RAV’s website and Google search optimization, and receives a regular commission of $10,000 for related media work from RAV. ThinkProgress spoke to a representative from RAV, who told us that 949 is run by an individual named Derek Oberholtzer. According to the representative, Oberholtzer has worked with RAV since the PAC formed in October.

Oberholtzer is well known as scam artist who has used a myriad of tricks to defraud people out of their money. In addition to 949 Media Group, he started a number of companies, including “Apply 2 Save” (A2S) and Giant Media Works. Consumer report websites are rife with complaints about Oberholtzer’s odious business practices. In one scheme, Oberholtzer paid for radio and other advertisements telling distressed homeowners to contact his company A2S to pay a flat $595 fee to receive assistance in renegotiating their loans or to block a bank foreclosure. The Federal Trade Commission has prosecuted Oberholtzer for deceptive practices. In numerous cases, Oberholtzer took the $595 payment, and never did anything to stop a foreclosure or even contact the mortgage company in question. In many instances he continued billing his customers further fees totaling nearly $1,000 without lifting a finger to actually renegotiate their mortgage or halt a foreclosure, as his “Apply 2 Save” company promised.

From Alejandro Lazo at the LA Times: Housing bust creates new kind of declining city

"Some neighborhoods are going to suffer tremendously or are never going to come back or come back very, very slowly," said James R. Follain, senior fellow at the Rockefeller Institute of Government ...

Potential candidates for long-term decline named by the study are the areas hit hardest by the drop in home prices in recent years. They include several inland California metropolitan areas that grew rapidly during the boom, including Stockton, Modesto, Fresno, Riverside and San Bernardino. Las Vegas and Miami also made the list.

A traditional city in decline is one that has suffered a sustained population drop, leaving behind empty houses, apartment buildings, offices and storefronts. Cleveland and Detroit, for instance, suffered from the erosion of manufacturing and the loss of residents, who left in search of jobs.

Instead of eroding a particular industry, however, the housing bust left a glut of homes because of overbuilding and the foreclosure crisis. Follain argues that the future of these cities is threatened in similar ways to that of Rust Belt cities.
Here is the report: A Study of Real Estate Markets in Declining Cities

There is a "particular industry" gone in these new declining cities - construction!

Making Money Scam

first of all, thanks for that info ZH.

( I am beginning to suspect you are working for GS ? )

If what you say is correct, (about Funds Copper holdings) this confirms what I said earlier:

All Markets, but especially Commodities Markets are totally rigged against any Traders or Investors or anyone that is not part of a hedge-fund (like JPM or Goldman Sachs).

Especially Pension funds and retail investor funds are raided and manipulated and taken to the cleaners as they are the easiest victims with all their Tax-payers funds coming in week after week to be raided and manipulated by Hedge-funds.

This is exactly how the last crash happened.Since 2003 Commodities were aggressively pumped up to quadruple their value in 2007 just before the sub-prime crash.

Dr Copper, as it is known, was pumped up because of demand for housing so they wanted everyone to believe.Remember when Copper was so expensive People would steal it from the life power electrical circuits of Railway lines ?

Well,then the Hedge-funds decided to sell,and then,only then the crash followed !

Hedge-funds that accumulate so much commodities will have to eventually sell. That is when they go short, tell everyone to buy, then be prepared for the big crash!

It is the same old pump and dump game and we are there again in all markets, but especially the commodity Markets.

What is copper used for? Housing construction. But Housing has crashed in the sup-prime market and so why is copper at record heights again ?

Because of the pump and dump game of Hedge-funds,who have fucked the markets completely by their monopolies and manipulation without any regulation. They can make more money by going short as soon as all the suckers have come in,including all those lazy idiot pension funds, then the short selling will begin again, with the blessing of the SEC !

This Markets are completely fucked ,but especially all the commodity Markets and now especially Gold.I know many of you think that Gold is a good investment.

I don't hold any Gold myself (got all my debt paid off,own a small property in the city, have no investments apart from cash at 4.5% short-term deposits)

If it is true that JPM holds even 50% of Copper, than the Commodity market world wide is broken and dysfunctional and ready to crash! Have you looked at your CRB charts lately?

Sometimes I really feel as if I am totally surrounded by Idiots or that maybe I am the only person left taking a look at these rigged markets.I can not believe what I am seeing and I find it hard to believe that there are any Investors left at all in such a corrupt, rigged market after what happened only as recent as the 9th March 2009 when the SPY was at 677.

Dr.Copper has become another commodity Bubble again,

when it bursts, you will lose all you got locked up in this rigged ponzi Hedge-fund Casino.

Monet Parham, an employee of the California Department of Public Health, has lent her name—and that of her daughter Maya, age 6—to a preposterous class-action lawsuit alleging that McDonald’s is “unfair” to parents. The lure of a Happy Meal toy, Parham claims, so provokes Maya’s “pester power” that familial conflict ensues.

We’re not making this up.

The real tragedy here is that Parham is free to file a wholly frivolous lawsuit, while there’s no recourse for McDonald’s to recoup its legal costs. Nor can Maya hold her mother responsible for thrusting her into the national spotlight as a “pest” when, in reality, there’s nothing the least bit untoward about the little girl’s attraction to toys.

Perpetrating this scam is the (so-called) Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), whose bread and butter is filing baseless lawsuits against major food manufacturers and restaurants, including Denny’s, Burger King, Coca Cola, and Kentucky Fried Chicken. All of which generates loads of front-page headlines and major bucks from liberal foundations. But were it not for the capitulation of some gutless corporations, the CSPI would likely have been rendered powerless a long time ago.

To their credit, McDonald’s executives have pledged to “vigorously defend” the Happy Meal against the CSPI suit, the particulars of which ought to make every responsible parent wince. To wit:

  • “Maya has requested Happy Meals from Parham because of McDonald’s marketing practices, and sometimes Parham, not wishing to cause family rancor, purchases such meals.”

  • “Because of McDonald’s marketing, Maya has frequently pestered Parham into purchasing Happy Meals, thereby spending money on a product she would not have otherwise purchased.”

  • “Maya, age six, continually clamors to be taken to McDonald’s ‘for the toys.’ Maya learns of Happy Meal toys from other children in her playgroup, despite Parham’s efforts to restrict Maya’s exposure to McDonald’s advertising and access to Happy Meal toys.”

It’s rather perverse for Parham to claim that McDonald’s is “interfering” in her family while, at the same time, she’s inviting judicial intervention into parenting decisions. As an employee with the nutrition section of California’s health department, Parham can already nag her fellow citizens about their eating habits. But asking the court to strip parents of their authority to decide what to feed their children constitutes Nannyism of a different scale.

CSPI lawyers were undoubtedly emboldened to file suit after officials in Santa Clara County, California, in April, imposed a ban on Happy Meals there. Likewise, San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors in November banned Happy Meals and other toy giveaways associated with foods containing more sugar, sodium, and fat than the food fascists regard as appropriate.

Nor does it seem coincidental that the lawsuit coincides with congressional approval of an unprecedented regulatory takeover of the nation’s food supply by the Food and Drug Administration. With government now controlling the provision of such basic services as food, housing, health care, and the like, we can only hope that the regulatory pendulum will soon swing back toward the freedoms upon which this nation was founded.

In many instances he continued billing his customers further fees totaling nearly $1,000 without lifting a finger to actually renegotiate their mortgage or halt a foreclosure, as his “Apply 2 Save” company promised.

The work could help cover Suleman's monthly costs, Hirsch said.

Suleman's housing woes stretch back for years. Before moving into her current four-bedroom home on a La Habra cul-de-sac, Suleman and her first six children lived with her mother. But that small Whittier home was foreclosed on just as her octuplets were becoming healthy enough to leave the hospital.

Nearly two years ago, Suleman's father, Ed Doud, bought the house for Suleman because the unemployed, single mom did not qualify for a traditional bank loan.

To purchase the $565,000 home about 25 miles east of Los Angeles, Doud made a $130,000 down payment and promised to pay $4,000 monthly, but a $450,000 balloon payment was due in March.

Haddadin had granted a six-month extension to pay the balance on the loan, but that expired Oct. 9. He told the AP on Sunday that as a Jordanian, he took pity on a fellow Arab in a tough spot and pledged to help Doud, who is Palestinian.

Doud had transferred the deed to Suleman and her lawyer, Jeff Czech, in August and both were served with eviction notices on Dec. 2, Haddadin said.

A call to Czech was not immediately returned Thursday.

All 14 of Suleman's children were conceived through in vitro fertilization – something her doctor Michael Kamrava is facing censure for from the state medical board. The Beverly Hills fertility specialist stands to lose his license, and is accused of gross negligence in Suleman's treatment and the treatment of two other patients.

Before the octuplets were born, Suleman was living off college loans, her children's disability payments and workers' compensation from on-the-job injuries at a state mental hospital in 1999. Since their birth, the disability payments have dried up, but a new income stream was found in selling gossip items and short videos to tabloid media. Minor deals came through as a spokeswoman for a local milkshake vendor and an animal rights group.
